India Launches Operation Sadbhav to Help Myanmar After Typhoon Yagi Floods

India came in front to help Myanmar after the country was hit hard by floods caused by Typhoon Yagi. The floods have caused huge destruction, with hundreds of lives lost and lakhs of people affected. In response, the Government of India has launched Operation Sadbhav to help the affected and provide emergency aid.

When Myanmar requested help, India quickly sent 21 tons of relief supplies. The Indian Navyโ€™s ship, INS Satpura, carried essential items like tents, ready-to-eat meals, medical supplies, kitchen sets, mosquito nets, water purification tablets, and solar lamps. The ship reached Yangon to assist the people who needed immediate support.

India didnโ€™t stop there. A second batch of 32 tons of aid was sent the next day through an Indian Air Force IL-76 aircraft. This included more generators, temporary shelters, hygiene kits, and other relief items. India is also assessing the situation to provide more help if necessary.

Operation Sadbhav is part of Indiaโ€™s long-standing โ€˜Act Eastโ€™ and โ€˜Neighbourhood Firstโ€™ policies, showing how India always stands by its neighbors in times of crisis. This operation highlights the strong friendship between India and Myanmar and aims to support the people of Myanmar as they recover from this disaster.
