Jugraj Singh scored the match winning goal in the 51st minute which gave India the win. However, China came up with a fightback and made India work hard for the win and made the match quite thrilling.

India and China had also faced each other in the first phase of this tournament, where China had won by defeating India 3-0. That is why the Indian team was considered a strong contender for victory in the final match, but China gave a tough fight to India with its excellent sportsmanship.
